Currently, there is no Australian Standard specifically for Lithium-Ion battery fires. This 4L F-500EA LI-ION extinguisher complies with the Mandatory Australian Standard AS/NZS1841.2 – 2007 as water-type fire extinguishers. It has successfully extinguished 2.4kWh lithium-ion battery fire fires without re-ignition.
The scope of Global-Mark certification does not include lithium-ion batteries.
